Fogstar Drift lithium leisure batteries are designed and supported in the UK, and have become one of the most popular LiFePO4 upgrades for campervans, motorhomes, caravans, boats and off-grid solar systems. Every Drift battery uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) cells with a built-in Battery Management System (BMS) that protects against overcharge, over-discharge, short circuits and temperature extremes, and you can keep an eye on charge and health from your phone over Bluetooth.
Fogstar make several ranges, so here is a quick guide to which one suits you.
The original Drift range, built with Grade A EVE LiFePO4 cells and backed by a 10-year warranty. A great all-round choice for campervans and motorhomes, with capacities from 100Ah up to 628Ah. Larger models feature built-in heating for charging in cold weather and IP67 dust and water resistance.
The next generation of Drift, with every major component re-engineered. Gen2 batteries add a 300A smart BMS for powerful inverter setups, a built-in active cell balancer, 0.2A shunt accuracy for more precise state-of-charge readings, and RJ45 battery-link ports so several Gen2 batteries can talk to each other in a multi-battery system. Choose Gen2 if you are running a bigger inverter or planning to add batteries later.
A compact 230Ah Gen2 battery designed to fit under the seat base of many campervans, measuring just 275 x 315 x 187.5mm. Ideal where space is tight, with a 250A BMS and built-in active balancing.
The 172Ah DIN Fit battery is built in a standard DIN case, so in many vehicles it can physically replace a traditional lead-acid leisure battery. Please check that your charging system is lithium compatible before upgrading.
The ECO range gives you Fogstar quality at a lower price, with Bluetooth monitoring, a JBD BMS and a 6-year warranty. A sensible choice if you want to move to lithium on a budget.
Built for serious off-grid use, the Drift PRO Gen2 has a tough, serviceable metal case, Grade A EVE prismatic cells, a 300A smart BMS, integrated heating for all-weather use and direct integration with Victron Cerbo GX systems.
Keep your battery secure with a matching Fogstar bracket, made from galvanised steel with a black powder coat, rubber matting and strap. Brackets are sized for specific batteries, and the standard Drift brackets do not fit the Drift PRO, so please choose the bracket that names your battery.
